Pre-School Newsletter November 2018
As you are aware on Tuesday 30th October we had Ofsted re-visit. Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you for all of your the kind words that were said on the day and to the inspector, it really made all the hard work worthwhile, As soon as the official outcome is released I will be letting you all know. And if you would like a copy of the report please ask.
We are now on our run up to a very busy half term, we have lots of preparations for Christmas, we will be fundraising, singing and working very hard together.
Soon you will receive your letter for tickets to our Christmas concert and for you to let us know if your children are able attend our Christmas party if you could return this as soon as possible.
Here are a few dates and times for you to add to your diaries. As we are bringing all the children together for our Christmas concert this year we are going to ask if they could come in for an extra hour to practice our singing together. Our plan is;
On Wednesday 28thNovember could our Afternoon children come to school at 10.45 to practice with the morning Chldren. (all children invited if this is not your usual session)
On Thursday 29th November Could our Morning Children be collected at 12.50. So to practice with our afternoon children.(all children invited if this is not your usual session)
Wednesday 12th December (change of date) dress rehearsal all children to attend 10.30am – 1.30pm. Friday 14th December Concert day. All Children To attend 10.30am – 1.30pm.
Party Day Tuesday 18th December all chldren to attend 10.30 -1.30. This will be the childrens last day until 2019.
You will receive raffle tickets if these could be returned by Monday 10th December at the latest to be drawn on Monday 17th. (This is one of our fundraisers that supports our children Christmas party).
Can I please remind you to send your children in a warm winter coat for outside play. We do go outside EVERYDAY unless the weather is dangerous. Also, please ensure Coats, hats, scarves & gloves and shoes are CLEARLY named, (as the children change into wellies so they can play on the muddy area) preferably on the inside neck area for speed of finding.
Some of the children become unwell during this half term. Therefore, please be reminded of our golden rules…. If your child is on antibiotics, at least 48 hours is needed before your child will feel the benefit & so should be at home. If your child has sickness or diarrhoea then 48 hours clear is required before they can return to pre-school [that means, from the last time they were sick or had a loose ‘emergency’ bowel movement] – these bugs spread VERY quickly, and prevention is paramount. Thank you
If you need to speak to us, or let us know a child is not attending [before 8:50am so we do not order a meal], that you will be late or someone else is collecting your child or for anything else by telephone, & we cannot get to the phone PLEASE leave an answer phone message… we are VERY busy BUT we do check the answer phone at regular intervals – you can leave a message at any time. Thank you
